Paul Cézanne, a French artist, was born on January 19, 1839, and passed away on October 22, 1906. He is recognized as the foundational figure in the transition from impressionism to cubism in the 20th century. Picasso and Matisse have both acknowledged Cézanne as the father of the painting technique they used in their artworks. Initially, Cézanne painted heavy, imaginary figures in landscapes, but later he adopted a light, airy painting style. The Basket of Apples, Mont Sainte-Victoire, Gardanne, and The Black Marble Clock are among Cézanne's most well-known paintings. While many of his paintings are held by private collectors, some are exhibited in galleries and museums. You can find a collection of wooden puzzles featuring Cézanne's famous works on our website.
