Henry Lyman Saÿen, born on April 25th, 1875, and passed away on April 27th, 1918, was an American artist. He was associated with the art movements of expressionism, cubism, and surrealism. He received training in painting at the Bauhaus school of art alongside Wassily Kandinsky. His artworks are known for their lack of humor and his personal mood, beliefs, and sometimes, a childlike view of life. Some of his famous paintings are Daughter in a Rocker, The Thundershower, Landscape, Bridge, Huntingdon Valley, and Child in Rocker. These paintings are held by private fine-art collectors and art galleries worldwide. You can find some of his best paintings reproduced as wooden puzzles on our website for an entertaining challenge.
