Georges Seurat, a French painter born on December 2, 1859, and passed away on March 29, 1891, is renowned for his contribution to French post-Impressionism. He is credited with developing painting techniques such as chromoluminarism and pointillism, and he often used rough paper surfaces and Conte crayons for his drawings. Additionally, Seurat established the 19th-century French school of Neo-Impressionism and even opened his own art school. Despite his short-lived life, Seurat is recognized as a genius in the art world. His popular artworks include A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte, The Models, Circus Sideshow, and Seascape at Port-en-Bessin, Normandy. Today, his pieces are held by private collectors and art galleries worldwide.
