Charles Demuth, an American-born painter, was born on November 8th, 1883 and passed away on October 23rd, 1935. He was a prominent figure in the Precisionism movement, known for his meticulous attention to detail. Demuth received his education from Franklin & Marshall Academy, Drexel University, and the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts in Philadelphia. He furthered his studies at the Académie Colarossi and Académie Julian in Paris, where he became a part of the avant-garde art scene.
